Ontario Snowmobiling & Dogsledding Tours, Summer Horse Camps & Public Trail Riding Stables & Riding Lessons – enjoy Algonquin Park, Ontario!

Since 2001, Penny Nicol (Anthropology at UWO) and Matt Nicol (an electrician) have run their year round wilderness tour business.  Beginning with the horses, they have expanded their daily activities to include

•  Horseback riding Tours
•  Dogsledding Tours
•  Snowmobiling Tours
•  Cottage Rentals/Accommodations
•  Public Trail Riding and an amazing
•  Summer Overnight Horse Camp!

The Nicols have hosted folks from all over the globe – Argentina, Belgium, Finland, Chile, Mexico, Australia& New Zealand, Korea, Russia, Germany and the Czech Repulic, Japan, Belarus, Israel and many more – a great taste of Canada! These groups have continued to visit every year, proving that love of the wilderness is INTERNATIONAL! And our horse camps are no exception!  International campers have visited to enjoy our summer riding camp program, returning yearly!

Our Cabin, built in 2006, is a roomy and comfortable place to hang out for horse camp, gather for a dogsled or snowmobile tour, and spend a weekend relaxing!  Built specifically for the business to use year round, it features two comfortable bunk rooms, couches, chairs and a nice table, and a cozy fireplace for heating up things when the leaves fall and snow rules the wilderness!

Matt and Penny are proud of the profile that the business has developed, and of their amazing staff and volunteers! This amazing crew are selected for their ability to work well  with our customers, with a sensitive, caring approach that encourages confidence. Chosen for their experience, patience & riding/dogsled/snowmobile skills, ability to work with people, and with qualifications that assist in giving our clients a safe, comfortable session and a great bang for their buck!

Our animals, both dogs and horses, are well cared for and very important to us.  What could be better than hanging out with your four footed friends every day?  Their care is of paramount importance to us, and when you come to our facility you will see they love what they do!  The wilderness surrounding the farm is an excellent playground for humans AND animals! Nature is the best place to be, whether on two legs, or four!

When we expanded to include a winter program, it was a natural progression.  Both Penny AND Matt have raced sled dogs, toured extensively on snowmobiles, shown horses, and have over 30 years experience in these hobbies, which are now their work!  And you know what they say, “If you love your job, you’ve never worked a day in your life!”.
